Naturopathic Medicine in Seattle, WA

HOLISTIC HEALTH FOR ALL BODIES

What is Naturopathic Medicine?

Naturopathic medicine offers a whole-body, patient-centered approach to healthcare. At our Seattle clinic, we focus on understanding symptoms in context and supporting people with care that is individualized, collaborative, and evidence-based.

At One Connection Healthcare, naturopathic medicine serves as primary or adjunctive care for people of all ages, supporting both acute and chronic health concerns with longer visits and shared decision making.

Why Patients in Seattle Choose Naturopathic Medicine

So often we have patients come to us who have seen other providers and have been given little work up or explanation of what their symptoms may mean. They have often been dismissed in healthcare settings.

Sometimes patients come to us with a diagnosis and feel confused as their condition has not been explained well to them. They’ve relied on Google or ChatGPT to explain it further, which often leads to more questions or fears.

We also find those that come to us with a diagnosis may not want to always go straight to a medication or intervention if there are side effects. They may want a second opinion or to discuss other therapeutics that may support them.

Often patients choose a naturopathic doctor if they want to go beyond a diagnosis and understand why certain conditions may be impacting their body. They may want to understand how to prevent further illness, or at times, improve conditions that already exist.

A Whole-Body, Systems-Based Approach to Medical Care

If your body has felt like a game of wack a mole, we work together to find how symptoms may all be interconnected to stress, sleep, food relationship and intake, movement, economic access, social and emotional health, and access to good medical care.

We work to support your body as a system instead of as individual, separate parts.

If you want to leave a medical visit feeling empowered that you understand your body better and not just with a diagnosis and a prescription, you are not alone.

This is what we are here to support.

What Appointments Look Like at Our Seattle Clinic

Care at our clinic is designed to be flexible, thorough, and individualized to where you are in your health journey, whether you are coming in for the first time or continuing ongoing care.

Your First Visit

Care often begins in the first visit and continues to evolve over time based on what is most supportive for you.

  • 01. Get to Know You

We begin with a 60–90 minute visit focused on getting to know you and your health history. This includes your current symptoms, prior workups and testing, allergies, medications or treatments you’ve tried, mental health history, trauma history, food intake, and lifestyle patterns.

We take time to understand your experiences in healthcare and what you need to feel supported and heard.

  • 02. Evaluation & Next Steps

Based on what we discuss, we may recommend testing such as labs, imaging, or other evaluations. If there are known symptoms or diagnoses, treatment may begin in the first visit when appropriate.

Your provider will outline evidence-based options and collaborate with you on next steps using shared decision making.

  • 03. Planning & Follow-Up

Treatment plans are shared at the end of the visit or the following day if additional research is needed. We leave space for questions and encourage you to share if something doesn’t feel clear or doable.

First visits may be in person or via telehealth, though we encourage in-person visits when possible.

  • 04. Space for Questions

Your first visit is not rushed. We want you to feel comfortable asking questions, expressing concerns, and clarifying expectations so you leave with a clearer understanding of your care plan.

Ongoing Visits & Types of Care

  • 01. Visit Length & Focus

Ongoing visits range from 15 to 90 minutes depending on your needs. Longer visits are available so you are not limited to addressing only one symptom or concern at a time.

Care is adapted over time as your needs evolve.

  • 02. Types of Visits

We offer acute care, wellness visits, and chronic condition visits. Many patients receive a combination of these depending on where they are in their health journey.

Your primary provider helps guide which type of visit is most supportive at any given time.

  • 03. Modalities & Treatments

Ongoing care may include physical medicine such as manual therapy, adjustments, exercise support, trigger point work, injection therapies for pain, laser treatments, neurofeedback, and other modalities.

We prioritize the least invasive, most effective, and most accessible options whenever possible.

  • 04. Coordinated Care

It is common for patients to work with more than one provider within our clinic depending on their needs. We also coordinate care with outside specialists to ensure you feel supported by a unified care team.

Long-Term Care and What Patients Notice Over Time

Throughout care, patients may notice improvements in energy, sleep, mental health, digestion, and lab markers. We believe lasting health progress is often gradual and supported over time.

Beyond workup and treatment, many patients find our clinic becomes an integral part of their care community and value the ongoing patient-provider relationship.

Our Commitment to Accessibility & Inclusive Care

We emphasize accessibility in both our treatment approach and visit experience. This includes access to our sensory room, a fragrance-free environment, diverse seating arrangements to accommodate body size or mobility needs, and trauma-sensitive care.

We prioritize shared decision making and patient agency, including the ability to decline exams or treatments. We also coordinate referrals and collaborate with specialists so patients experience a unified care team.
