Our coach, Misty Saracino, does not bill insurance
Info on Misty’s fees:
In an effort to reduce barriers to care, we are offering a sliding scale approach to coaching sessions. We understand that financial decisions are complex and intersectional, particularly in a culture where we don't frequently talk about financial privilege. We are utilizing an honor system for selecting the cost of care. Please sincerely consider your financial circumstances when choosing which rate to pay. Honest reflection about the rate you can pay will support Misty in being able to sustainably offer her services to a wide range of clients.
Physical Medicine Visits with your Naturopathic Physician:
Every insurance plan has varying coverage for physical medicine. If you would like to verify your coverage prior to a visit, please contact your insurance and inquire about coverage for the following CPT codes:
Manual Therapy: CPT code 97140
Osteopathic Manipulation Therapy (OMT) Codes: CPT codes 98925-98929
Acupuncture Coding to Verify with your Insurance:
Every insurance plan has varying coverage for acupuncture. If you would like to verify your coverage prior to a visit, please contact your insurance and inquire if you have acupuncture benefits and if so, how many per year your insurance allows. You may also inquire if you have coverage for Manual Therapy: CPT code 97140 as this may be an additional treatment and code your acupuncturist can offer to support your healing. If your insurance covers 97140 then you may also inquire how many visits you can receive and if this may take away from physical therapy visits if you also see a physical therapist.
Labs and Blood Work:
Understanding coverage for labs prior to your blood work can often save you a significant amount of money. Even if your physician is out-of-network for your insurance, you can still use your insurance for lab coverage. Please download the below document to have a basic understanding of insurance language for labs and how to communicate with your insurance company to understand your individual coverage prior to your blood draw.
