About Dr. Lily Stokely

I’m Dr. Lily Stokely (she/her), founder and co-owner of One Connection Healthcare and a licensed naturopathic physician providing integrative primary care in Washington and California. I specialize in working with patients who have complex medical histories and are looking for a primary care provider who can see the whole picture, rather than just looking at isolated symptoms.

One Connection Healthcare was built around the idea that patients deserve a true healthcare home: a central point of care where physical, emotional, hormonal, metabolic, and relational health are considered together. My work focuses on helping individuals feel understood, empowered, and supported in building sustainable health relationships over time.

My Clinical Philosophy

I practice from a weight-inclusive, LGBTQIA+, trauma-sensitive lens, with a focus on the medical management of eating disorders. Within that lens, I love working with folks in recovery, as well as those with extensive family histories of disordered eating or eating disorders who want a physician that understands the delicate nature of our relationships to food, movement, and body image, supporting generational healing and trust in their bodies.

I also specialize in fertility, perimenopause and menopause, endocrine disorders, and digestive conditions. This includes working with individuals experiencing restrictive eating who need a rehabilitation path that honors the nuance of gradually expanding foods in ways that feel tolerated and safe.

✧ I am here for the chronic dieter seeking another path.
✧ I am here for the individual in a larger body who has been told their symptoms are solely weight-related and wants support beyond being told to lose weight.
✧ I am here for the person harmed within medical systems who needs a sensitive, attuned provider to hear their story and support autonomy in their healthcare experience.
✧ And I am here for those who want genuine human interaction in their healthcare relationships.

I love working with individuals experiencing a wide range of conditions and exploring how these integrate with the foundations of health. I collaborate with patients to set their own goals and move at a pace that makes sense within the context of their economic, social, and family realities.

I became a naturopathic physician after studying nutrition for four years at the University of California Berkeley. I graduated from Bastyr University in 2016 and then completed a two year naturopathic residency in primary care at The Emerald City Clinic.

After my undergraduate degree at Berkeley I was set to enter conventional medical school knowing I wanted to be a physician, but there continued to be a feeling of dissatisfaction with the mainstream medical model. It felt as though something was missing and I wanted to offer a model in my care approach that supported a whole body lens instead of a broken down set of symptoms defining a person's health.

What I learned is that any healthcare model can come with harm if there isn’t a patient centered approach to care. Autonomy in decision making for patients is the key to leaving patients with feeling empowerment, knowledge and safety in their healthcare decisions. Everyone should be given the opportunity to explore their body and their health with a guide that allows them in the end to choose what is right for their care.

In my patient-centered approach, I use evidence-based education. I will often share which approach to care I think is the most effective. However, I will always offer alternatives, a step by step process, discussion of urgency, or ability for patients to self pace in certain healthcare decisions.

I use a blend of tools anywhere from pharmaceuticals, herbs, supplements as well as hands on therapies such as manual therapy, myofascial release, and trigger point injections. There are no treatment protocols or sales pitches in my care approach, only individualized plans that are tailored to the specific needs of the person in front of me.

Clinical Experience & Leadership

Beyond clinical practice, I have trained residents and physicians since 2019 in:

  • Eating disorder medical management

  • Trauma-informed primary care

As medical director and co-owner of One Connection Healthcare, I have overseen the care of more than 5,000 patients, deepening both clinical expertise and relational leadership within a large multidisciplinary practice.

I maintain ongoing continuing education across eating disorder care, primary care medicine, and integrative health specialties to ensure my practice remains informed, current, and responsive to patient needs.

What Keeps Me Joyful

If you experience my care you’ll see I have a deep passion for the work I provide. My work is more than a job, it gives me great purpose, connection and community and most will feel that in the way I show up in our interactions.

Outside of my work my family is also my balance, my young kids reminding me of how important it is that I remain present in their lives and also to model a work life that includes joy and passion.

Owning One Connection Healthcare alongside my husband, Michael Rak, is also one of the greatest privileges of my life. Similar to our overlapping passion for our business we both share joy in skiing, hiking, and gardening.

My happy place in the summer is barefoot with dirty hands in my garden beds watching my kids play in our yard. My creative outlets are growing flowers and baking cupcakes and a winter rainy day baking with my kids keeps me reminded of the simple pleasure of cozy nesting.
