DIETETIC CARE FOR ATHLETES, EATING DISORDER RECOVERY, AND BODY TRUST
HOLISTIC HEALTH FOR ALL BODIES
When Your Relationship With Food Feels Complicated
Maybe you’ve landed here because you find yourself ruminating about food, fueling, or your body more than you’d like.
You might be dealing with fatigue, poor recovery from workouts, frequent illness, brain fog, or injuries that won’t fully heal. Exercise may feel unsupported in your body, your athletic performance may be struggling, or your menstrual cycle may have become irregular or stopped.
You may notice patterns like skipping meals, ignoring hunger cues, or relying on eating disorder behaviors to cope with stress or anxiety. Body image concerns may make fueling properly feel overwhelming or even frightening. Social situations that involve food might feel loaded or stressful. Over time, your sleep, mood, and relationships may begin to feel impacted too.
If any of this sounds familiar, you’re not alone.
Reaching out for support takes courage, and it is absolutely possible to live in a world where food and your body no longer distract you from what truly matters in your life.
We work with individuals 12 years and older seeking nutrition support that respects the complexity of their lives, identities, and goals.
Many of the people we work with are athletes, including runners, hikers, climbers, and team sport athletes, who want to feel stronger, recover better, and fuel in a way that supports both their body and performance.
We also support individuals navigating eating disorder recovery, disordered eating patterns, body image concerns, and underfueling, as well as members of the LGBTQ+ community seeking affirming nutrition care.

Our Clinical Lens, Nutrition Frameworks & Care Approach
Nutrition counseling in our practice is collaborative, trauma-informed, and evidence-based. We recognize that nutrition does not exist in isolation. Rather, it intersects with identity, stress, movement, access to resources, and lived experiences within larger systems of power and culture.
We also deeply respect the intrinsic wisdom you hold about your own body. Our work centers your goals, autonomy, and lived experience while supporting you with clinical expertise and guidance.
-
Our first step is understanding the full context of your relationship with food, body, training, and health. During the intake process we review your nutrition history, medical history, training demands, stress levels, sleep patterns, and previous experiences with nutrition or healthcare.
This comprehensive view helps us develop a plan that supports your energy availability, recovery, performance, and long-term well-being.
-
Our work is grounded in weight-inclusive and intuitive eating principles.
Intuitive eating focuses on rebuilding trust with the body’s internal cues for hunger, fullness, and satisfaction. Many individuals arrive in nutrition counseling after years of dieting, restriction, or external food rules. Intuitive eating helps unwind those patterns and reconnect with the body’s natural regulatory systems.
Our work also incorporates a Health at Every Size® (HAES) framework, recognizing that health is not defined by body weight and that bodies can thrive at a variety of sizes.
-
We integrate several therapeutic approaches into nutrition counseling depending on your needs.
CBT-informed nutrition counseling helps identify and shift unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors related to food, body cues, and eating habits.
Motivational interviewing supports you in exploring your own motivations for change. This collaborative approach strengthens internal motivation and supports sustainable, realistic shifts in eating patterns.
-
For athletes and active individuals, we develop nutrition strategies tailored to your training load, recovery needs, and performance goals.
This may include:
fueling strategies for endurance training
energy availability support for RED-S
recovery nutrition protocols
injury prevention through adequate fueling
For individuals experiencing hypothalamic amenorrhea or menstrual disruption, nutrition counseling may focus on restoring adequate energy availability and supporting hormonal balance through consistent fueling and reduced physiological stress.
What Makes Our Nutrition Care Different
Our care is relational, educational, and flexible.
We prioritize honoring the pace of your nervous system and body. Nutrition care is not about rigid rules or perfection. Instead, we approach this work with curiosity, compassion, and space for humor and learning.
When it is helpful, we collaborate with other members of your care team including therapists, medical providers, coaches, or family members. Collaboration always happens with your consent and with your priorities at the center of care.
