Perimenopause & Menopause Care in Seattle, Washington
HOLISTIC HEALTH FOR ALL BODIES
What is Perimenopause & Menopause Care?
Perimenopause and menopause are significant hormonal transitions that can impact the body, emotions, and overall sense of self. While these phases are receiving increased attention in the media, many people are left feeling confused about what supports exist, what expectations to have for treatment, and how to navigate care during this time.
Perimenopause and menopause are not just hormone transitions. They can also be emotional and social transitions. The healthcare providers at our Seattle clinic treat all of you, not just your hormones.
If you have been told, “this is just menopause,” but remain uncomfortable or feel like you are losing sight of yourself, support is available. While symptoms can occur during menopause, they are not something you necessarily have to tolerate without care.

Our Clinical Lens, Testing & Treatment Approach
We feel fortunate to be able to provide access to a large tool set and in-house cross-specialities when it comes to both testing and treatment options.
-
We begin with extensive symptom evaluation and a thorough intake, allowing ample time to share your medical history and current concerns. This may include reviewing hormonal history throughout menstruating years, contraceptive history, fertility and conception history, sexual health, sleep, stress, nutrition, and exercise.
-
Testing may include hormone testing and comprehensive lab evaluations, as well as evaluation of additional markers such as nutrients, thyroid function, liver health, and more.
Urine hormone testing, including DUTCH dried urine testing or cycle mapping, may be used when indicated.
-
Treatment may include botanical or nutraceutical support, nutrition and exercise counseling, stress evaluation, and discussion of support structures. Referrals to therapy or other providers may be recommended when indicated.
Sleep evaluation and support may be included when needed.
-
Hormone replacement therapy may be discussed, including safety, efficacy, and follow-up testing recommendations. Medication management of symptoms may be considered when indicated, with discussion of care options for more severe symptoms.
-
Our care is comprehensive. We do not see perimenopause and menopause as a set of symptoms in a box defined only by hormone changes.
-
We view this phase as one of the greatest transitions in a menstruating body’s life. Often, other life responsibilities are also peaking, contributing to a sense of overwhelm.
-
While we value hormone replacement therapy as a tool, we also know it is not right for everyone. We work with you to decide whether it is the best route of support. If it’s not, we have many other tools that may help.
-
We are here to hold the complexity of this transition with you and help create a plan that feels doable, safe, and right for you.
-
All of our medical providers are licensed naturopathic physicians and are licensed to prescribe estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone when indicated.
Clinicians specializing in perimenopause and menopause have completed continuing education focused on these conditions and stay current with rapidly evolving research through conferences and ongoing study.
What Makes Our Care Different?
What Appointments Look Like at Our Seattle Clinic
Care at our clinic is designed to be flexible, thorough, and individualized to where you are in your health journey, whether you are coming in for the first time or continuing ongoing care.
-
01. Initial Appointments
Initial appointments typically range from 60–90 minutes, allowing time for a full intake that includes hormonal health, broader medical history, and the social and emotional factors that influence hormones.
-
02. Follow-Up Visits
Follow-up visits range from 30–60 minutes, providing time to review progress, adjust care plans, and ensure visits do not feel rushed.
-
03. Ongoing Support & Adjustments
Some tools may be helpful right away, while others may take several months to reach their full impact. Responses to treatment vary, and we will always have a next step or additional option available to explore.
Long-Term Care and What Patients Notice Over Time
Over time, patients often share reflections such as, “I wish I had started this support sooner,” or “I finally feel like myself again.”
Even when symptoms feel severe, there are often multiple paths forward and additional options to explore as your needs evolve.
Our Commitment to Accessibility & Inclusive Care
Whether you are simply wanting to learn more after reading about menopause in the news, or you are ready for support with symptoms, we are here for you.
We offer both hormone replacement therapy and non-hormonal treatment options. We use shared patient-provider decision-making to create treatment plans that feel aligned with your needs, values, and goals.
We emphasize accessibility in both our treatment approach and visit experience. This includes access to our sensory room, a fragrance-free environment, diverse seating arrangements to accommodate body size or mobility needs, and trauma-sensitive care.
We prioritize shared decision making and patient agency, including the ability to decline exams or treatments. We also coordinate referrals and collaborate with specialists so patients experience a unified care team.
