Dr. Alison Hearst
Pronouns: She/Her
Dr. Alison Hearst is a licensed Naturopathic Physician in Washington State. She received her undergraduate degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology at the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Washington and earned her Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine from Bastyr University in Kenmore, Washington.
Dr. Hearst's interest in complex chronic disease sparked at a young age. From childhood, she struggled with chronic illness and understands the impact it has on physical, emotional and spiritual well being. After years of failed treatments and feeling abandoned by the traditional medical system, she sought out answers for the underlying cause of chronic illnesses which eventually led her to Naturopathic Medicine. Upon graduation, she completed a residency with Dr Christine Schaffer at Immanence Health.
Philosophy
Dr. Hearst's role is as a listener and witness of your unique story. Her goal is to work alongside you as a guide, helping you navigate and uncover your journey to wellness. She is a true believer in the healing power of the body and aims to assist her patients in removing obstacles to health while stimulating their innate healing capacities. She commonly observes dismissive behaviors of the medical system towards the chronically ill, resulting in feelings of isolation.
