Dr. Kate Mattax, ND is a licensed Naturopathic Physician in Washington State. She earned her Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine from Bastyr University in 2022 and completed a two-year residency at One Connection Healthcare under the mentorship of Dr. Lily Stokely and Dr. Michael Rak. She takes a patient-centered, whole-person approach to care, working collaboratively to support her patients’ health goals.

Dr. Mattax approached care from a Health At Every Size (HAES), trauma-informed, queer-affirming, and anti-racist lens and she engages in on-going education to better support her patients. The primary care relationship is a special one and Dr. Mattax strives to be a trusted provider to whom you can ask questions, seek support, and know that your whole-person care is being coordinated with respect.  

Dr. Mattax enjoys working with patients who are new to Naturopathic Medicine and introducing them to its full scope. She provides care across the spectrum, from annual wellness exams—including Pap smears and preventive screenings—to complex chronic conditions. Her approach integrates herbal medicine, pharmaceuticals, counseling, and bodywork, tailored to each patient’s unique needs.

As a certified provider of Integrative Pelvic Floor Therapy, Dr. Mattax offers treatment for pelvic pain, pre/postpartum care, sexual dysfunction, constipation, and urinary symptoms. She also specializes in medical management for individuals with eating disorders, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive and compassionate care.

In her free time, she enjoys tidying her home, playing with her pups, and seeking moments to laugh, connect, and recharge with friends and family.
