Misty Saracino, MPH

Eating Disorder Recovery Coach

Pronouns: She/Her

Misty is a fat-positive eating disorder recovery coach that helps others have freedom with food, movement, and their bodies. Her approach is warm and collaborative, and she creates welcoming spaces for healing and connection. Misty practices with a social justice lens and believes all bodies deserve respect and care. She provides compassionate accountability and tools aligned with Heath-at-Every-Size® to help clients rebuild trust with their bodies and reclaim pleasure with food and movement.

As a white, cisgender, currently able-bodied individual, Misty commits to questioning her biases and using her privilege to benefit others, particularly those with marginalized identities. She supports clients where they’re at and helps clarify a path forward considering their unique identities, experiences, and goals.  She challenges toxic messages that keep clients stuck and supports them to find new life-giving ways to meet their needs.

Misty grew up on the east coast and moved to Seattle in 2005 for a post-doctoral fellowship after earning her PhD in Molecular Microbiology at Stony Brook University. She completed a Master of Public Health at the University of Washington and worked for 6 years as a research scientist. Misty took some time off to raise her daughters and decided to pivot her career to directly support others to make peace with food and body. She completed a coach training program, started a private practice, and worked as a milieu therapist at an eating disorder treatment facility. Outside of work, Misty loves yoga, puzzles, and exploring new restaurants with her family.
