Pronouns: She/Her
Kellan specializes in:
Eating disorder and disordered eating recovery
Queer and gender-affirming care
Performance nutrition & fueling for outdoor/adventure sports Hypothalamic amenorrhea (missing period) recovery
Kellan entered into this profession after working on a family farm for many years and developing a deep love for food and movement. After feeling quite disillusioned with traditional dietetics, she wandered into the world of HAES-aligned nutrition counseling and eating disorder recovery work. She loves working with clients who are ready to get curious about their relationship to food, body, and movement. This journey takes deep courage and trust. As a provider, she values the intrinsic wisdom that you hold about your own body, and strives to center your goals, autonomy, and intersecting identities in your work together.
She will talk often about the importance of widening our lens and examining the systems of power and oppression that are impacting your experience in your body. She draws from the principles of Health At Every Size, Intuitive Eating, and Body Trust, and strives to be firmly fat-affirming and size inclusive.
When not working, she enjoys spending time in her garden, trail running, volunteering with her local LGBTQ+ outdoor organization, and having lengthy conversations with her little dog, Abby.
