What to Expect During Your Blood Draw

01. Before Your Visit
Your provider will let you know whether your labs require fasting or any other preparation. We recommend wearing clothing that allows easy access to your upper arm and arriving well hydrated.

02. During Your Blood Draw
Appointments are scheduled for 15 minutes, although many blood draws take only 3–5 minutes. Most blood draws are performed while seated, though we can also accommodate patients who feel more comfortable lying down.
If you have needle anxiety or other concerns, let us know—we're happy to adjust your experience whenever possible.

03. After Your Appointment
Once your blood draw is complete, you're free to return to your normal activities unless your provider has given you other instructions.
Results are typically available within 24 hours to 14 days, depending on the laboratory and the tests ordered.
