INTEGRATIVE PRIMARY CARE • BALLARD, SEATTLE
Most people call me Dr. Katy. I’m a board-certified naturopathic physician and resident at One Connection Healthcare, providing integrative primary care for people of all ages, bodies, and genders.
My goal is to create a space that normalizes the full range of human experience, so patients leave feeling heard, informed, and actively involved in their healthcare decisions.
Meet Dr. Katy Bachman
I was drawn to naturopathic medicine by a desire to find more in medicine—more that connects us to our natural environment, to one another, and to the joy life can bring. As a patient myself, I often found care to feel overly sterile and dismissive of crucial parts of life.
My practice is designed for people who:
Have felt dismissed or shamed in the exam room
Have been told there are no other options
Want a provider who feels more like a teammate
Clinical Philosophy & Approach to Care
In my own practice, I draw from both conventional and naturopathic philosophies to meet patients wherever they are on their health journey. I blend the standards of conventional medical care with individualized, holistic, and evidence-informed naturopathic approaches, prioritizing lower-force interventions when appropriate.
When developing a treatment plan, I use shared decision-making and informed consent so patients can choose the testing and treatments that are right for them. I also work to help patients understand their lab values and diagnostic criteria, so they feel confident participating in their own care.
I welcome discussion, curiosity, and collaboration in appointments, and I remain transparent when I need to do additional research or collaborate with other providers to give my patients the best care possible.
Areas of Clinical Focus
-
I provide integrative primary care for patients of all ages, bodies, and genders. I draw from conventional and naturopathic medicine to build an individualized, evidence-informed plan that works for the patient in front of me.
-
Pelvic floor therapy is a special interest of mine and an area in which I have completed additional training. As with other aspects of care, I use shared decision-making and informed consent so patients can choose the treatments that are right for them.
-
I have a special interest in sexual and reproductive medicine. My goal is to create a space that normalizes the full range of human experience and welcomes discussion, curiosity, and questions.
-
I welcome people of all bodies and genders and have a special interest in gender-affirming care. I want patients to feel heard, informed, and actively involved in their healthcare decisions.
-
Kidney function is another area of special interest in my practice. I work to help patients understand their lab values and diagnostic criteria so they can participate confidently in decisions about their care.
-
My clinical interests also include mental health and neurological disorders. I approach care collaboratively and remain transparent when additional research or collaboration with other providers would help inform a patient’s treatment plan.
Background, Credentials, and Clinical Experience
I am a naturopathic physician licensed in Washington State and a resident at One Connection Healthcare. I completed my doctorate in 2026 at Bastyr University in San Diego, California, and previously earned an undergraduate degree in sociology from Western Washington University.
I have additional training in pelvic floor therapy, craniosacral therapy, and the Walsh Protocol.
My background in sociology helps me understand the social and economic circumstances that can influence a patient’s health. This allows me to meet patients where they are and offer solutions and resources to help them overcome barriers to care.

In follow-up visits, we often spend part of the hour talking and part doing hands-on treatment. For some patients, visits are structured differently if a different rhythm may better meet their needs. We decide on treatment plans together and make changes together as well.
