Dr. Mattax is a licensed Naturopathic Physician. Dr. Mattax received her Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine from Bastyr University in 2022. She earned her undergraduate degree in Education and Social Policy and Spanish from Northwestern University and spent 3 years working in healthcare software before discovering Naturopathic Medicine. Dr Mattax is completing a 2-year residency at One Connection Healthcare under the mentorship of Dr. Lily Stokely and Dr. Michael Rak.

As a Naturopathic Physician practicing within the Health At Every Size (HAES) model, Dr. Mattax takes a patient-centered approach grounded in the belief that integrative primary care should be available to all. She approaches care from a trauma-informed, queer-affirming, anti-racist lens and is engaged in on-going education to support her patients. The primary care relationship is a special one and Dr. Mattax strives to be a trusted provider to whom you can ask questions, seek support, and know that your whole-person care is being coordinated with respect.

Dr. Mattax enjoys working with patients who are new to Naturopathic Medicine and introducing them to all this field has to offer. She works with patients along the entire primary care spectrum, from annual wellness exams to complex chronic diagnoses. She utilizes the full scope of Naturopathic Medicine in her treatments, including herbal medicine, pharmaceuticals, counseling, and body work. Dr. Kate is certified in Integrative Pelvic Floor Therapy, which can address issues such as pain, pre/postpartum care, sexual dysfunction, constipation, and urinary symptoms.

In her free time, Kate can be found tidying her home, playing with her pups, and seeking moments to laugh, connect and recharge with friends and family.
