Therapy for Body Liberation, Identity, & Eating Disorder Recovery in Seattle
HOLISTIC HEALTH FOR ALL BODIES
Reconnecting With Your Body, Your Story, and Your Values
Therapy can be a place where you begin to reconnect with yourself: your body, your values, and your story.
At One Connection Healthcare, our therapists center liberation and the relationship with the therapist and client. Our work centers your lived experience and supports you in exploring how you want to live in your body and move through the world.
For many people, the challenges they face are shaped not only by personal experiences but also by systems that impact identity, belonging, and safety. Our approach to therapy acknowledges those realities while creating a space where you can show up fully as yourself.
Whether you are navigating depression, anxiety, disordered eating, identity exploration, or the overwhelming pace of the world, therapy can offer space to slow down, reflect, and reconnect with what matters most to you.
Our therapy services are typically a good fit for adults over the age of 25. At this time, our practice is not the best fit for teenagers.
We especially love working with:
Who We Serve
Individuals who have had an eating disorder or a ruptured relationship with food and their body
People living in bodies that society often treats as “less than”
Queer, trans, questioning, and gender-diverse individuals
Fat folks seeking body liberation and weight-inclusive care
People navigating complex or intersecting identities
Individuals who feel overwhelmed by the world and want space to process and reconnect with themselves
People experiencing “good girl syndrome,” regardless of gender
Individuals who want to find a sense of home in their body
Many of our clients come to therapy wanting to experience more joy, but feeling unsure if they are allowed to claim it.

Our Therapeutic Approach
Our work is rooted in Body Trust®, body liberation, and social justice.
We believe that healing happens within relationships and community. Therapy becomes a space where we explore your values, examine the stories that shaped you, and create room for new ways of living and relating to yourself.
Our approach includes:
-
01.
Body Trust® and body liberation frameworks
-
02.
Anti-racist, pro-Black, queer and trans affirming care
-
03.
Fat-positive and weight-inclusive perspectives
-
04.
Collaborative assessment and goal-setting
-
05.
Recognition that self-diagnosis can be powerful
-
06.
Awareness that diagnostic systems like the DSM often fail to account for race, gender, and neurodivergence
While diagnoses are sometimes necessary to access care within healthcare systems, we do not pathologize people or reduce them to diagnostic labels.
Our work together is values-driven and boundaried, creating a space where both therapist and client can show up with courage and honesty.
What a Therapy Session May Look Like
Therapy sessions are collaborative and responsive to what is happening in your life and what your needs are.
Sessions may include:
Checking in about your week and current experiences
Exploring emotions, relationships, and personal narratives
Learning new skills and tools for navigating challenges
Goal-setting and reflection
Parts work and narrative exploration
Reworking old stories that no longer serve you
Sometimes sessions will feel reflective and grounding. Other times they may involve difficult emotional work. There may be laughter. There may be tears.
Therapy is a human process. If and when mistakes happen, we engage in repair so the work can continue in a way that feels safe and meaningful.
We encourage clients to bring their full humanity into the room, and we promise to do the same.
