Acupuncture in Seattle & Washington
INTEGRATIVE, WHOLE-BODY CARE FOR PAIN, NERVOUS SYSTEM REGULATION, AND CHRONIC CONDITIONS
Supporting Balance Across the Whole System
Sometimes the reason you begin searching for support is not just one symptom, but a deeper sense that something in your body feels out of balance. It may be a diagnosis you’re already working through with another provider. Or it may simply be the recognition that things are not functioning in the way they could.
Many people first hear about acupuncture in the context of treating pain. Over time, they often realize acupuncture offers something much broader. It offers care that views symptoms as signals within a larger whole.
Acupuncture at One Connection Healthcare is a place to step back, consider the full picture, and work toward supporting balance at the root, rather than only chasing individual concerns.
Our acupuncture providers work with individuals of all ages and backgrounds. Care is offered in a way that honors different identities, body types, lived experiences, and health histories, including those navigating ongoing medical conditions, trauma histories, or diverse neurological and sensory needs.
Acupuncture may be integrated:
During acute concerns
Alongside ongoing or chronic conditions
As part of broader nervous system and whole-body support
Treatment is never one-size-fits-all. Each plan is developed based on the individual in front of us, with pacing and focus adjusted to meet your specific needs.

Our Clinical Lens
We are highly attuned to the more sensitive patients and work to find treatment approaches that leave patients feeling well. We use an integrative approach with both Chinese medicine, physical medicine and naturopathic medicine to support patients holistically. We work to create an inclusive space that considers socioeconomic, emotional, cultural, size, and gender aspects to care.
What Makes Our Care Different
Care with our acupuncture team will include care from some of the most highly trained acupuncturists in the nation. All of our acupuncture providers hold dual degrees in both acupuncture and naturopathic medicine so patients receive some of the most highly trained clinicians in this field. The integrative approach allows a broad scope of tools to customize a care plan that is specific to each individual’s needs.
What a Typical Course of Acupuncture Care Looks Like
Our acupuncture services are provided at our clinic in Ballard, Seattle, Washington.
-
Your first visit is focused on developing a comprehensive understanding of your health history, current symptoms, and goals. Treatment is often not performed at this visit so we can thoughtfully plan your care.
-
Your second visit typically begins treatment. Sessions include a brief check-in followed by acupuncture and, when appropriate, additional hands-on therapies.
Treatments may include:
Acupuncture (needle placement at specific points, typically painless)
Myofascial release
Visceral manipulation
Craniosacral therapy
At times, you may rest quietly during treatment while your nervous system integrates the experience.
At the end of the visit needles are removed and sometimes recommendations are given.
-
Typically a series of acupuncture treatments will include 3-10 follow up appointments. There are times where some visits may include more review of health symptoms and others where visits are mostly treatment. At times in certain chronic conditions ongoing acupuncture care can be recommended and beneficial for symptom relief.
What You May Notice Over Time
Many patients notice shifts within the first few visits, including:
Improved sleep
Increased relaxation
Reduced pain or tension
Improved digestion
Greater nervous system regulation
Over time, acupuncture can support your body in functioning more efficiently and responding more adaptively to stress.
Whether you are new to acupuncture or have received treatment before, we meet you where you are.
If you feel nervous about needles or unsure what to expect, your first visit is a space to ask questions and move at a pace that feels comfortable. Treatment can always be adjusted to your level of comfort.

Yes, we accept several large carriers. If out of network, we offer superbills for potential reimbursement.
Most plans will have acupuncture benefits, it is good to know your benefits for acupuncture if there are limits on how many visits you can have in one year. You can reference this in your insurance booklet or by calling your plan.
Since our acupuncture providers are dual licensed it is important to know that they will bill through both their acupuncture and naturopathic doctor licenses so at times some plans may charge two copays for each visit. This is also something you can ask your insurance carrier prior to your visits if you want to understand what out of pocket costs may be for your insurance plan.

Often age ranges where this becomes more possible is around age 13 and above, but it can be child specific.
